I became a Virtual Assistant because #1 helping people is my love language 💗, and #2 business owners constantly inspire me, and I appreciate how much time goes into building their vision 💎. So, I wanted to create a business that aligns with my values and supports purpose-driven people in their own journeys.
I’ve seen firsthand how overwhelming it can be to juggle all the moving parts of a business, and it’s my role to take some of that weight off your shoulders. You can see me as an extension of your team, except no employment, no messy contracts, and no extra fees to be paid - just proactive, reliable support whenever you need it.
The story behind my business
My journey into becoming a Virtual Assistant started in Leeds, where I studied Media, Communication and Cultures at university 👩🎓. After graduating, I stepped into the corporate world as a Personal Assistant supporting executives, where I quickly learned the art of organisation and keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes 💻.
I later moved into marketing within the recruitment industry, gaining experience in the day-to-day BTS of an established business. But even while I enjoyed my roles, I always had a feeling that I wanted more - more freedom, more creativity, and the chance to build something of my own.
I’ve always been more of an introvert and realised I actually do my best work when I can focus independently. At the same time, I had a growing desire to travel and work abroad, which made the traditional 9-5 feel a little restrictive!
Then I discovered the world of Virtual Assistants, and it was a total 💡 moment. It combined all the skills I’d developed while giving me the freedom I’d been searching for.
And that’s how Macey’s Method was born.

I come across so many creative business owners with more ideas than hours in the day and a to-do list full of important things they simply haven’t had the time to get to ⏰. And that’s exactly what inspires me as a VA: supporting passionate people and helping turn their ideas into reality. ✨
The unorganised admin that needs a proper system. The video sitting unedited because life got in the way. The website that needs updating but keeps getting pushed down the list. The emails you know you should be sending but never quite get to.
Trust me, it’s not a competence problem. It’s a capacity problem.

I'm not here to create busywork or add noise. If we're doing something, there's a clear reason for it - a plan and a real benefit to your business and your time.
A process that feels good
Not transactional, not stressful, not another thing to manage. I adapt to how you work, communicate in a way that suits us both, and have fun whilst doing it because who you're working with matters just as much as what gets done!
